The Pen And Paper Anarchist-- Act 4--Scene 3.

Chuck and Tony are in a little bungalow at the remote  countryside somewhere around West Yorkshire.
Chuck--"There you go Tony we got bedrooms,kitchen, dinning room,palour toilet and bathroom and a spare room for storage.What more do we need?"
Tony--"Yes it is spot on for what we want to do.How far is our nearest neighbour?"
Chuck--"Our nearest neighbour is at least half a mile away Tony."
Tony--"I am pleased to know that for we are going to make TNT in this house and have to test the explosive in the garden.I don't want anybody to hear or know what we are doing."
Chuck--"When do you want to bring the stuff here? I think the place is perfect unless you have something else on your mind."
Tony--"No.I like to start organising it today.All the stuff is in my house.I have hidden them under the floorboards.We will bring it here and start working immediately."
Chuck--"Aye,aye sir ! You are the boss.Shall we go and get them now and we can bring it here in my van."
Tony--"Perfect!! We are in bussiness.Lets go."
They both exit form the stage.

The Pen And Paper Anarchist-- Act 4--Scene 2.

When Tony Lee woke up this morning he was in oblivion in a kind of abandoned happiness.He was still lying in bed when Chuck came knocking at the door.
Tony--"Come in its open."
Chuck come in from the door and go straight into the sitting room and sit on the settee.
Chuck--"Still in bed are you lazy bone."
Tony--"I know you are comming so I left the door unlocked and went back to bed for a snooze."
Chuck--"I come to see if there is any progress in our bomb making."
Tony--"I got the formular and materials.I just have to try and make it.But we need a private place so that nobody will know what we are doing when we test it."
Chuck--"We can use my uncle's old bungalow nobody live there now since he passed away.Its also situated in a remote village in country side."
Tony--"Thats sounds good.When shall we start?"
Chuck--"Its ready when ever you are."
Tony--"Great shall we go and see now.I like to start as soon as possible."
Chuck--"Let go then."
They both exit.......

The Pen And Paper Anarchist-- Act 4--Scene 1.

At Tony's apartment.Tony,Chuck,Sharon, and Carlie are sitting together at the round table.This is a council of war.
Tony--"The reason we all gather here tonight is to discuss the ways and means to subdue this monster publisher Fitz."
Chuck--"We all know Fitz is a nasty piece of work.He sit in his publisher chair and hasn't got a clue about literature or arts.All he did is to screw the young up and comming writers by doing the best he can not to publish their works.Do you all agree with that?"
Tony--"Don't I know it.He is the root of all my troubles.I spent a year researching and writing this novel.It has the making of a bestseller if it get published but I heard that he never even bother to read it."
Carlie--"True I have to read your manuscript and tell him whether it is good enough to publish."
Chuck--"I had a ding dong with him when I came to see him and he threatened to call the police."
Carlie--"Yes he did but I refused to do it otherwise Chuck would have been arrested."
Sharon--"What I heard so far about this character Fitz sounds like he is nothing but evil.This kind of behavior towards the writers should be stopped."
Carlie--"Can we report him to any authority for  his behavior."
Tony--"As far as I know you could not report this kind of behavior.The only way to stop this evil man is to take action against him by ourselves."
Sharon--"I agree totally with Tony.Fitz is evil and his existance is an insult to society."
Carlie--"But what shall we do?"
Chuck--"I am strongly of the opinion  that we should eliminate him."
Tony--"I agree and is willing to take the lead in this operation if we all decide to go ahead."
Carlie--"What is your plan of action Tony?What ever it is count me in."
Tony--"What I want you to do Carlie is to open the door to his office and let me and Chuck in to the building at night."
Carlie--"That's no problem at all.I do sometimes stay over time to do paper work in my office at night."
Sharon--"What is my role in this operation folks?I like to participate too."
Tony--"Don't worry about that love.You will be helping me in making a bomb and a remote control detonater since you major in chemistry in university sweetheart."
Sharon--"Cool, you can count on me too."
Chuck--"Well it all settled then.Tony and me will do the job,the girls will be our helpers."
Tony--"We will decide on the final agreement in next meeting.I let you all know the date when it's ready."
They all exit.

Tony Lee and Chuck in Tony's apartment.
Tony--"Are you really commited for action then Chuck."
Chuck--"I said I'm in.You can count on me Tony."
Tony--"In that case I will trust you with my plan but I don't want you to chicken out at the last minute."
Chuck--"No I will not.You should know me by now Tony."
Tony--"I am glad to hear that.In that case I will draw out the plan to subdue Fitz.You will be my partner and support ."
Chuck--"I am so excited can't wait to hear you plan."
Tony--"First step in our operation is.We will have to choose the killing ground.I have chosen the Red Shed as the place for it."
Chuck--"Fitz's secreatry Carlie is my partner now.She got the keys to the building she can let us in anytime."
Tony--"What a spendid move.Well done Chuck.I can see my plans materializing.Ha, ha."
Chuck--"When will we start this project? I am so excited."
Tony--"I am gathering some materials to make a homemade bomb.I  have read in a book called "The anarchist handbook."
Chuck--"You are a very inventive and konwledgable person Tony.I am so glad to have you on my side mate."
Tony--"You will be surprised to know how much time I spent on studying these things.It is my hobby apart from writing.I am going to make a flow chart on how to subdue Fitz and show you in next few days."
Chuck--"I can trust you with my life Tony.Where ever you go I'll follow mate."
Both exits.

The Pen And Paper Anarchist-- Act 3--Scene 3.

Leeds city center.In Thai Cottage restaurant.Chuck and Carlie having lunch together.
Carlie--"If Mr Fitz knows about this I will be sack,you know."
Chuck--"A pretty girl like you can easily find another job as a Secretary.You don't have to stick with this monster."
Carlie--"But it pays my rent and for a few things I need."
Chuck--"Money,money,money that's the roots of all  our problems."
Carlie--"Its true but what can you do man invented money and he become the slave of it."
Chuck--"Oh! What wisdom you speak Carlie.You should be a writer like us."
Carlie--"I am always interested in reading and writing but never put a word of my feelings on paper yet.One day I might do."
Chuck--"Why don't you work with us.We can show you a few ropes."
Carlie--"Who is we?You are only one."
Chuck--"Me and my friend Tony Lee.We work together,you must have seen him in the office sometimes."
Carlie--"Yes I met him when he came to see Mr Fitz.In fact I am reading his manuscript for the moment.Fitz want me to read it and tell him what I think of it."
Chuck--"What do you reckon?"
Carie--"It is very intense.There is a lot of anger in his writing although he looks  a  gentle person."
Chuck--"He is a gentle person but circumstances had mould him into an aggressive one.We are all creatures of circumstances.That's what it reflects in his writings."
Carlie--"You mean he pour all his aggression in his writings so that he can remain gentle."
Chuck--"Exactly,you take the words right out of my mouth Carlie.I am becoming more and more interested in you.I am single and free man."
Carlie--"I am free and single too and looking for somebody who I can talk on the same wavelength."
Chuck--"What will you think if I say we should be together."
Carlie--"I would say its a splendid idea.I could move in with you.I will pay half of your rent."
Chuck--"That's settled then.You can move in tomorrow.I don't live very far from Leeds.Just twenty minutes drive from here."
Chuck suddenly grab hold of Carlie and kiss her on the lips and Carlie respond passionately.

At "The Red Shed" publishing house in Leeds city center Chuck is loitering in front of the main door.Suddenly Carlie appears on the scene.
Chuck--"Hello love when will the reception open I like to make an appiontment to see the publisher Mr Fitz."
Carlie--"It should be open in few minutes.If you want to make an appiontment I am his secreatry I could pencil you in."
Chuck--"Please do.Thank you and this is my name and details(giving ger a card).I am a writer."
Carlie--"Oh! I think we met before  about a week ago. Mr Fitz asked me to ring the police to get rid of you but I didn't."
Chuck--"Nice to meet you.My name is Charlie but my friends call me Chuck.Thank you so much for saving my life."
Carlie--"You are wellcome Chuck.I think  you are not in his good books I believe."
Chuck--"He hated me and refused to publish my book too.He is a nasty piece of work."
Carlie--"So why are you seeing him again then."
Chuck--"I just want to talk to him and apologize for calling him a nincompoop.May be I can soften him and changed his mind."
Carlie--"You would be lucky but its a nice gesture."
Chuck--"Well I am not in a position to make demands on him.Haven't I? By the way can I persuade you to have lunch with me to day as a token of my gratitude."
Carlie--"Not at all I am always on the side of the young writers.Wait for me round the corner about half past twelve."
Chuck--"Thank you Carlie that would be lovely.Do you like Thai food? I know a nice Thai reataurant in the center of Leeds called "Thai Cottage" I will take you there."
Carlie--"Well I'll see you then."
Carlie go into the building and Chuck is left standing there with a big smile on his face.

The Pen And Paper Anarchist-- Act 3--Scene 1.

 Tony sitting in cafe' drinking coffee and Chuck walks in.
Tony--"Hi Chuck."
Chuck--"Hi I've just been to see publisher Fitz and he refused to publish my book point blank."
Tony--"Tell me all about it.What exactly happen I like to hear."
Chuck--"Like you said I creep and crawl and pleaded with him but it didn't work.He kicked me out of the room and said he don't want to see my face no more."
Tony--"What did you do then?"
Chuck--" Since he is determined not to publish my book anyway I  thought I better give him a piece of my mind too."
Tony--"What did you say?"
Chuck--"I called him a dirty bugger and a brainless nincompoop.He got really mad with me and threatend to call the police if I hang around the building any longer."
Tony--"This guy need to be taught a lesson Chuck.I'll go wiith you tomorrow and see him."
Chuck--"There's no use,he will not see me Tony and I don't want to get in trouble with the police."
Tony--"I don't know about you Chuck but I am not the one who would take things lying down mate.If you don't want to get involved I can do it on my own."
Chuck--"There is no need for violence.I am not bothered with him.If he is not happy with me I'll find another publisher."
Tony--"And you call me a pacifist.What are you then? A coward?"
Chuck--"Call me whatever you like.I feel so low now, I just want to go away somewhere and die."
Tony--"Come on chin up mate!!.It's not the end of the world.I've got some ideas to make the tables turn.If you are in with me."
Chuck--"If you think I am a coward you will be wrong.What I am thinking is whether is worth bothering."
Tony--"I am going to make him an offer he can't refuse.That's what I am going to do.You just say yes if you are in with me."
Cuck--"In that case count me in then."
Tony lean close towards Chuck and wisper into his ears and Chuck is listening very attentively.

The Pen And Paper Anarchist-- Act 2--Scene 4.

Tony and chuck at the cafe'.Chuck is looking through a manuscript and correcting some spelling mistakes.Tony just looking around the cafe' and fretting as usual.
Chuck--"How did it go your interview with the publisher."
Tony--"I am not very impress with this publisher Fitz.He wasn't helpful at all.I have a gut feeling he doesn't like me."
Chuck--"Well its useless to talk to them you know.Its like talking to a brick wall besides they couldn't care less whether your book is publish or not.Its not their problem."
Tony--"Very true,very true.How is your book going."
Chuck--"I am sure it well written but if I send it to Fitz he might not even bother to read it."
Tony--"I will not be suprise if he throws it in the bin.He is a rather dense oaf with a limited intelligence who have a flare for stupidity."
Chuck--"You take the words right out of my mouth Tony.Well said,well said my friend."
Tony--"Let me know how you get on with him.Keep me posted will you."
Chuck--"Course I will you will be the first to know.I'll be seeing him tomorrow morning.I shall meet you here in the afternoon."
Tony--"I look forward to that."
Chuck--"Wish me good luck.I need it badly."
Tony and Chuck exit.

The Pen And Paper Anarchist-- Act 2--Scene 3.

Tony is sitting in Mr Fitz's office.He looks  peevish  and  fretting.Mr Fitz giving Tony a very judgmental look.
Fitz--"These days the publishing market is very slow and we can only publish books that are going to be winners."
Tony--"I understand that sir.This is my very first novel and I need a breakthrough.I can speak for myself that a lot of time and effort is spent writing this story."
Fitz--"Every one thinks the same of their own book but only the public would decide the success or the failure."
Tony--"I agree with you totally.I only ask you to read it and if you think is promising will you take a chance to publish it."
Fitz--"(laughs) Leave your manuscript with me and I will let you know."
Tony--"How long will I have to wait in suspense sir?If you would give me a time limit."
Fitz--"I can't give you any time or promise I am afraid but if you want to know ring us in about a month time.That's the best I can do for the time being."
Tony--"Thank you very much sir.I look forward to hear good news from you."
Fitz--"Just give me a ring in a months time.We take it from there."
Tony--"Thank you.Thank you so much.I am very grateful for your willingness sir.Thanks again."
He nearly fall off the chair while trying to get up but manage to keep his balance.Raising his right hand as if he is saluting Fitz and walk out of the office.
Fitz--(to himself)"What an odd character this guy is.If his book is like him I will not read it."
Then he shouts out loud "Carlie!!! Carlie!!! where are you?Will you come in here for a minute."
Carlie enters "I am here!.I am here! What would you like?Another cup of tea?"
Fitz--"No. No.I want you to take this manuscript of Tony Lee and read it and let me know what you think of it.He truly is a funny character an odd ball I should say."
Carlie--"He seems alright to me.Very polite and gentle.I met him on his way out.He asked me to ring him as soon as you finish reading his manuscript.Poor man he seem so desperate."
Fitz--"Desperate bugger he is.That's no doubt.Oh! What a day! I think I need my lunch.Will you order me a Donna Kebab from the Turkish shop  and a bottle of beer."
Carlie--"Yes sir! Yes sir!I will do that right now.Is that all?"
Fitz--"Yes for the moment.Thank you girl."He pull a cigar out of his pocket and lit it.
Carlie exit from the door.

The Pen And Paper Anarchist-- Act 2--Scene 2.

In the publishers office Mr Fitz is sitting and reading through a pile of manuscripts.He smoke a cigar in his mouth looking impressive.His Secretary Carlie come in with a cup of tea for him.
Carlie--"Good morning Mr Fitz.Nice morning innit."
Fitz--"Have I got appointment to see anyone today Carlie?"
Carlie--"Yes there is this writer coming to see you about publishing.He hasn't arrive yet."
Fitz--"Blasted author I hate these guys.They think the whole world is living on their expense."
Carlie--"They think they are the intellectuals of the society the reformers of the present age."
Fitz--"Intellectuals my ass!! Reformers my foot!!! They can think what ever they like of themselves but I think they are just scroungers.Scroungers of my money they are.Its true."
Carlie--"May be so but they write lovely romantic novels though.Whenever I read them they make me fly in to strange romantic landscape meeting with tall dark and handsome hunks who would carry me to a beautiful palace on horseback and make intensive love."
Fitz--"My God girl you are  barmy.Living in a coo-coo land and believing the lies of those writers.Get a grip of yourself and come back to reality."
Carlie--"I am only 21 years old Mr Fitz.For a young girl of my age it is most appropriate to think about romance and adventures."
Fitz--"For a young girl of your age the best thing is to look for a good paying job and a rich husband who could support you rather than day dreaming."
Carlie--"Your tea is getting cold Mr Fitz and I must be off to do some paper works."

The Pen And Paper Anarchist-- Act 2--Scene 1.

In front of the building with the sign"THE RED SHED" Chuck and Tony are standing outside loitering with intent.
Chuck--"Its still too early for them to open these publishers.They don't get up early like us. Its allright for them."
Tony--"They don't have to work like us mate they are the bosses.The way they act high and mighty is disgusting."
Chuck--"What time do they start work?Its already 9 o'clock in the morning.I've been standing here for the last hour my legs are getting numb from the cold.Bloody hell!!"
Tony--"They are all lazy farts but I got to see this guy call Mr Fitz to get my book published.I will creep and crawl if I have to at the moment because one day he will be  kissing the ground I walk on."
Chuck--"You are a pacifist in other word you don't have guts to tell them off.I am a fighter if he refuse me this time I will create a havoc."
Tony--"Chuck you are assertive and in other words you are a pain."
Chuck--"If you got a barrell of TNT what will you do now?I would dynamite this building first thing."
Tony--"This is the 100th time I heard you said that.All mouth and no action you are."
Chuck getting angry and said "I will fix them.I'll fix them right and proper one of these days.Just you wait and see Tony."

The Pen And Paper Anarchist--Act 1--Scene 4.

Sharon and Tony in the bedroom lying in bed Tony reading a book and Sharon just look bored.
Sharon--"I've always been an active person but since I move in with you my life become static."
Tony--"Don't you worry I give you a Jane Fonda work out book for your birthday which is next week.Then you can get yourself busy."
Sharon--"Do I have to wait until then.You don't do anything but put your face in books all the time."
Tony--"My work needs a lot of  inspiration.I am a writer remember."
Sharon--"I have been reading the biography of Guy de Maupassant.He seems to come out with flying colours in that department."
Tony--"That's why he died of Syphilis.Do you want me to die of syphilis? I am too young to die like that."
Sharon--"Don't take it the wrong way.I am not demanding you of sex but I am a full blooded woman and I have my needs."
Tony--"That does it you women are obsessed with sex.You should go out with a guy who got the brains in between the legs."
Sharon--"Well I better go and make a cocoa and try and get some sleep since I am not getting anything tonight."
Tony--"OMG!!! If you are so desperate lets do it now. Let's get over and done with."
Tony pulled Sharon over to his side of the bed and start fondling her breasts.Sharon push his hands away and roll over to the other side of the bed.
Sharon--"I don't want to be raped I just wanted to be loved."
Tony--"Its so hard to please you women.I will come back next life as a eunuch."

While the conversation still going on between Tony and Chuck, Sharon enter the cafe' after looking around for few seconds found Tony.
Sharon--"There you are! You early birds.Good morning Tony."
Tony--(Gets up from chair and greet her with a kiss on the cheek) "You look gorgeous today Sharon.Will you join us for a cup of coffee,by the way this is my friend Chuck.Chuck this is Sharon my girlfriend.".
Sharon--"Nice to meet you Chuck.I heard a lot about you from Tony."
Chuck--"Good things I hope.Tony is such a cool guy and I am the angry one."
Sharon--"I hope you let all your anger out into your writings Chuck."
Chuck--"I always do,I always do.My stories are hot like hell fire and burn like  acid.There is a call for murder in every page."
Sharon--"I am so glad to hear that.These days a lot of writers are incline to be pacifist which is abominable."
Chuck--"Ture! true! I totally agree with you but Tony is different he is run silent run deep."
Sharon--"Don't I know it.He is like a mountain stream flowing gently into the rapids.I bet he save his anger for other purpose.Such as,such as...."
Chuck--"Such as what?"
Sharon--"Such as sex."
Chuck--"I bet he is a good lover dynamic in bed."
Sharon--"I have nothing to complain so far."
Chuck--"Excellent,excellent.I am so glad to hear that.I congratulate you on your happy and healthy sex life."
Tony--"Hold on a minute.You both talking like I am not  here.What sort of vulgarity early in the morning."
Chuck--"There you go again.Tony you are such a prude my man.Come on there is nothing dirty in talking about sex early in the morning or late at night for all I know."
Tony--"Sharon you are acting like a liberated woman.I don't like liberated women and you know it.Chuck your brain is so impregnated with filthy thoughts it needs a good washing and your mouth too."
Chuck--"I believe in calling a spade a spade.People who can't talk freely like you are the hypocrites."
Tony--"I am not a hypocrite I mean every word I say."
Chuck--"You will have to prove it my friend.Mr Silent volcano."
Tony--"Now you are calling me names.Next thing you will be labeling me as a coward."

The Pen And Paper Anarchist--Act 1--Scene 2.

In the cafe' Tony and Chuck are sitting with cup of coffee each.There is music playing in background.
"From this moment on,You and me babe,only two for tea babe.From this moment on." Tony is looking round the cafe' he is singing along with the music.
Chuck--"What is there to be so cheerful about?You seem to be on top of the world today Tony."
Tony--"I am expecting Sharon to meet me here today.We are going to see the opera in the evening."
Chuck--"Living it up are you? I wish I could be happy like you.You don't seem to worry about anything.So carefree and cool."
Tony--"What's the use of worring anyway.Life is so short you can't afford to be miserable my friend."
Chuck--"I worry about everything.Not like you.I wish go to another world."
Tony--"I live in a world of my own Chucky boy.I enjoy my solitude."
The music play a song."Please lock me away....and don't allow the day.....here inside where I hide with my loneliness......" Tony sing along with the music.
Chuck--"I am really very jelous of you Tony.How can you sing while the whole world is burning.You are like 21st century Nero.I detest that sort of attitude."
Tony--"I am the opposite of you my friend.I've never intend to save the world.I am a writer.I only intend to witness the what's going on around us.From my little corner I write what I see.I don't believe in any organised religion or political philosophy.I am a free man,free in mind and body and my heart is free too.The only two things I love is beauty and truth.The rest doesn't count."
Chuck--"You have a flare for the absurdity Tony.I really detest that."

The Pen And Paper Anarchist--Act 1--Scene 1.

In front of post office Tony Lee is standing on his own holding a rather big envelope in his hand and trying to write something on it.Suddenly Chuck appears on the scene.
Chuck--"Hello Tony.How is it going?"
Tony--"Just a minute Chuck,let me write this damn address on envelope.I need to post it urgent today with first class mail to the publishers."
Chuck--"I just posted one myself just now to publisher.I bet I will get it back by next few days with the letter saying that I am not successful.I don't know why I keep writing these short stories anyway.I don't think they read my stuff they just chuck it in the bin or send it back to me straight away.Its such a waste of money for stamps."
Tony--"I am quite convinced that they don't read any of the stuff we write for they have no interest in arts or literature.All they want to do is to make money."
Chuck--"You don't have to tell me that.It always came back in the same envelope that I sent.I am sure it had not been opened.Fucking sick these guys are.Somebody should put a ropes round their necks and throw them in the river."
Tony--"Then these rotten bastards will be floating on the river and polluting the water.They are the pits of the world these publisher,editors and the lot.Despicable people."
Chuck--"It's making my mouth dry talking about them.I am off to the cafe' Tony are you coming?"
Tony--"Sure I would let me post this first.Then we both go to cafe' and continue our swearing at them bastards."
Tony put the envelope in the post box and they both exit......

The Pen And Paper Anarchist-- Prelude.

"The pen and paper anarchist" is about a writer who had been trying to get recognized by the publishers and not getting anywhere.He had become so desperate that he decided to gate crash into the world of literature by the help of a bomb and a gun.In doing so he has discovered his hidden talents and managed to write stories that shocked the world.This play is a comedy and should be read with ease and joyfull heart then only you will recieve the full benifit of my work.I am quite an easy going guy who like to enjoy life and clasp it with both hands.
I wrote this comedy because I strongly believe that comedy is a weapon more serious than tragedy.In this morden age laughter is always edged in the despair,isolation and violence. Ours is the age of despair but we refuse to take it seriously.
